Individual California burger reviews in "verdict outside NY" section
I have come to an early conclusion... California is king of fast food "wax paper" burgers, while NY is tops when it comes to "thick pub" burgers.
A fan of the thick juicy burgers which nYc has to offer... especially since I'm a patron of the rare/medium rare. But on a recent trip out to Cali, 2 weddings, 4 days, and 5 burgers... I have a new found respect for the thin. That is if it's not frozen and dry tasting (no thanks, FatBurger).
L.A. must have like a billion burger joints (well, allot). And they all claim to be the best, or the original, or famous... you name it. I do agree with some as being pretty darn good though. My 5 burgers I ate while there were: , , , , and . All except for the Office burger were wrapped in wax paper with an army of well chosen condiments with soft white buns. A throw back to what burgers were all about before us New Yorkers got accustomed to our 10-oz babies. and fancy buns... not that NY doesn't have good classics, , , ... we just don't have them on every corner.
The Fathers Office burger is not like the rest that I tried out in Cali... heck, it's not like any other burger period.
