This $6.50 "do-it-yourself" burger is in the same range as Burger Joint and Shake Shack, but definitely not in the same company. (It's good to note that $6.50 will get you a burger with cheese, grilled onions, tomatoes, pickles, and brgr sauce. Other fancy toppings can bump the price up to $10.) The ingredients are very fresh - we even spied an employee slicing pickles in the back. The "montana legend all-natural angus beef" meat patty, which is on the thin side, has a bit of flavor to it, but is not overwhelming. However, it is extremely juicy and requires more than one napkin as the juice oozes out of the paper wrap. The patty is cooked medium well by default with absolutely no pink to be found. The medium rare burger is a little too pink and almost qualifies as just plain rare.
The burgers are served on sponge buns in paper wrappers ala In-N-Out. Fries, either russet or sweet potato, are extra. The "onion hay" is full of spicy, crunchy goodness. All items come atop a silver tray just like Burger Joint in San Francisco.
They still don't have a liquor license, but you can BYOB from the bodega on the block.
A pleasant burger experience overall, but not as good as Burger Joint and Shake Shack, although it's a good option when Shake Shack is closed in the winter.
